Marine Diesel Mechanic

Dynamic Marine Survey and Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marine Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team!

Requirements

1. Qualifications and Experience:

• Relevant qualification in Diesel Mechanics, with a focus on marine applications or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a marine diesel mechanic.
• Expertise in marine propulsion systems, hydraulics, and electrical diagnostics.
• Experience working with Caterpillar and Cummins engines will be an added advantage

2. Skills:

• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing marine diesel engines.
• Strong technical understanding of marine systems and components.
• Competency in Microsoft Word and the ability to prepare detailed technical reports.

3. Additional Requirements:

• A valid driver's license (compulsory).
• Familiarity with international marine safety standards and procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Must be able to start immediately (advantageous).
• Willing to travel locally and internationally for projects.
• Valid Passport and yellow fever card.

In this role, you will:

• In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of marine diesel engines and
• related systems to ensure the safe and efficient operation of vessels.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in marine diesel engines.
• Perform routine maintenance, including fuel system servicing, cooling system checks, and lubrication tasks
• Conduct comprehensive inspections and repairs on marine propulsion systems and auxiliary equipment.
• Maintain detailed service records and prepare technical reports.
• Collaborate with vessel operators and management to ensure all repairs and services are completed effectively.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company protocols for marine operations.
