Syrup Maker

Description

A leading beverage company is seeking a qualified Syrup Maker to join their team. Reporting to the Syrup Maker Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing simple and final syrup batches according to the production plan and in compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare simple and final syrup batches as per the production plan
• Ensure the correct supply of final syrup to production
• Perform cleaning in place (CIP) on all tanks, piping, and syrup room equipment
• Conduct standard quality tests
• Perform autonomous maintenance in the syrup room
• Adhere to Health & Safety Standards
• Maintain HACCP and GMP standards

Requirements

• Grade 12 with Science and Mathematics subjects
• N3 qualification
• Relevant experience in a similar role (preferably within the bottling industry)
• Strong numerical skills
• Good understanding of hygiene requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Proficiency in an indigenous language will be an added advantage)
• Willingness to work shifts and weekends
• Results-driven and process-oriented
• Forklift driver's license
• Knowledge of 5S and supply ways
• Experience with backflushing syrup at the end of each shift
• SAP experience
• Code BE driver's license
