Driver

Description

Our client is seeking a reliable driver who holds both a valid car and motorcycle license. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods and packages within designated routes in a safe, timely, and efficient manner using a motorcycle. The ideal candidate should have excellent knowledge of local traffic laws, strong communication skills, strong work ethics and a commitment to customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transport Goods/Packages: Safely deliver goods, packages, or documents within specific geographic areas using a motorcycle, adhering to scheduled delivery times.
• Route Planning: Plan the most efficient and safest routes for deliveries while ensuring timely completion of each assignment.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and safety protocols for motorcycle operation. Wear appropriate safety gear, such as a helmet, and ensure all safety measures are in place.
• Customer Service: Interact professionally and courteously with customers during pick-up and delivery. Address any customer concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, and any incidents or issues encountered during deliveries.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the logistics or operations team to ensure that deliveries are completed efficiently and according to schedule.
• Ad-hoc Tasks: Perform other duties related to the role as assigned by the supervisor, including supporting warehouse operations or assisting with route planning.

Requirements

• Must have Grade 12 certificate
• Must possess both a valid car and motorcycle license.
• Willing to work shifts and weekends.
• Proficiency in both English and Afrikaans will be an added advantage.
• Previous experience in delivery or driving positions (preferably with a motorcycle or similar vehicle) is a plus.

Be flexible to work according to the following schedule: Working Hours:

• Week 1: 09:00 - 18:00
• Week 2: 10:00 - 19:00
• Every second weekend:
  • Saturday: 09:00 - 19:00
  • Sunday: 09:00 - 17:00
