PURPOSE OF POSITION
To conceptualise and through creative thinking use your design flair to produce design solutions to communicate brand stories, messages or ideas with high visual impact. Graphic design solutions are required for a wide variety of products and activities, such as websites, advertising, books, magazines, posters, product packaging, exhibitions and displays, corporate communications and corporate identity. To produce outstanding creative work within the scope of the brand and creative brief supplied and present to client.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Degree/Diploma in Graphic Design, with at least 2 years experience in design.
Experience in Indesign, Illustrator & Photoshop would be an advantage.
Knowledge of the basics of design and the principles required for good layout.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Production
- Provide accurate and timely information to the production team.
- Contribute constructively during shoots.
- Coordinate with production companies, photographers, videographers, and printers.
- Complete weekly timesheets on time.
Project Management
- Collaborate with the Project Management team to address and fulfill the brief.
- Engage with both internal and external service providers for technical support as needed.
- Work through the P roject Management team to obtain additional information from the client for a thorough understanding of the brief.
- Use client briefs to conceptualize, develop, and execute effective designs.
Creative
- Develop concepts and designs.
- Stay updated on industry trends and design innovations relevant to the clients sector.
- Present creative work both internally and to clients.
- Participate in review sessions and provide constructive feedback.
- Keep up with developments in the design industry and stay proficient with required design software.
Self development
- Identify own skills and training needs as required/continuous learning.
- Consistently improve own work output through self-development
- Being neat, presentable.
- Being punctual to internal and external meetings
- Balancing your life to ensure that your production capability is optimized.
- Practicing time management to manage workload.
- Providing feedback to management on problem areas, difficulties and workload.
- Lead the core values of O&L.
