Description

We are currently seeking a Factory Supervisor Mechanical and Maintenance to join our team and help drive the effective and efficient operation of our mechanical systems and mining equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of Mechanical Maintenance Team:
    Lead, manage, and supervise a team of mechanical maintenance personnel in a fast-paced cement production environment. Ensure optimal performance and productivity from the team through effective training, development, and performance management.
  • Preventative Maintenance:
    Develop, implement, and monitor preventative maintenance schedules for all mechanical equipment, machinery, and plant systems. Ensure minimal downtime and maintain high levels of equipment reliability.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair:
    Oversee and support troubleshooting efforts for mechanical failures and breakdowns. Lead root cause analysis to identify issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Equipment Management:
    Ensure the proper operation, calibration, and maintenance of all mechanical equipment, including crushers, mills, conveyors, and other cement production machinery. Assist in the planning and implementation of capital projects or major upgrades.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Ensure that all mechanical and maintenance activities are performed safely and with the highest regard for environmental sustainability.
  • Resource Management:
    Manage inventory and ensure the timely procurement of mechanical spares and consumables. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers for parts and services.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repair logs. Prepare detailed reports on maintenance performance, including metrics such as downtime, repair costs, and efficiency.
  • Budget Management:
    Assist in the preparation and management of the mechanical maintenance budget. Identify cost-effective solutions for maintenance activities and improve the overall efficiency of operations.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A relevant technical qualification, such as a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within a factory or production mine, mining, or heavy industry environment, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong technical expertise in mechanical systems, plant equipment, and maintenance strategies. Hands-on experience with rotating equipment, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a demanding industrial environment. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety standards, risk management practices, and OSHA or equivalent regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to interact with diverse teams and provide clear, concise instructions and reports.
  • Proficient in maintenance management software (CMMS), Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
