MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), this position will assist EXCO and will participate in the development and execution of the Swakop Uraniums (SU) Human Resources Strategy. The position will assist in driving continuous improvement in Human Resources Systems in the Company. It will also assist in leading the HR department to establish, maintain and implement world class operating practices to positively influence human resource service excellence.
Key Performance Areas:
- Participate in the development of the Company Strategy in order to support the sustainability of Swakop Uranium.
- Ensure HR management systems apply to CGN/URC standards and statutory compliance.
- Ensure that Risk Assessment / Method Statement documents and procedures are up to standard, maintained and categorized and can feed into the monitoring, and improvement programs.
- Monitors the application of the Companys human resources strategy and policy to ensure correct interpretation and consistent practice.
- Endorse adherence to financial controls (Labour Budget) and incessantly monitoring HR financial discipline.
- Set and evaluate HR targets and compliance with performance objectives aligned with the Companys DOAM.
- Co-ordinate the compilation of Company HR development strategy and objectives.
- Formulate and manage implementation of performance management systems.
- Co-ordinate the pursuit of sound employee relations by monitoring and advising on ER strategies and practices.
- Monitor adherence to substantive and procedural agreements and advise on appropriate remedial action where breaches of such agreements may occur.
- Negotiate with the union and consults on various issues of common interest, on behalf of the Company.
- Oversee facilitation of the annual and long term Labour plan.
Requirements and experience:
- Honors Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Social Sciences or related degree.
- Master degree in the relevant field will be an added advantage.
- 13 Years of which 5 years should have been in a Senior Management capacity.
- Experience in designing and implementing HR principles /standards / procedures / systems to increase efficiency and compliance in mining industrial environment.
- Valid Code B/BE Drivers License.
