POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 1
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To coordinate the Repairs and Maintenance administrative activities with special focusing on preventative maintenance planning, and execution, purchasing, storage and stock control, expense management, work allocation, and analytics. This role ensures efficient operations by optimizing resources and minimizing downtime through effective planning and reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum Grade 12 plus Higher Certificate.
- Trade Certificate Fitter/Diesel Mechanic / Electrical /Plumbing / Millwright) Level 3 plus NTC 4-6
- Minimum 3-5 years post apprenticeship artisan experience (maintenance artisan) with additional 2 years experience in maintenance planning.
- Technical knowledge of maintenance planning practices and procedures
- Practical knowledge of Maintenance Management methodologies & techniques
- Estimating, planning & organizing skills
- Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of ISO 45001
- Knowledge of occupational health & safety regulation
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Analyze problem units and equipment based on failure frequency.
- Develop and maintain maintenance performance data and ensure data integrity.
- Assist team in developing maintenance schedules.
- Manage work backlog, ensuring timely execution of planned maintenance tasks.
- Update master data regularly
- Approve requisitions for rotable parts.
- Participate in shut-down planning and execution.
- Coordinate spares and critical stock with procurement.
- Engage in weekly planning, execution, and control
- Implement maintenance strategy effectively.
- Conduct shutdown analyses.
- Plan and facilitate shutdown meetings
- Conduct daily checks of SAP systems to ensure functionality.
- Approve SAP requisitions daily for parts and contractors
- Generate weekly reports, including KPI and management reports.
- Analyze high-maintenance cost items and present findings to management for cost control.
