Description
- Transporting the Crane Truck: Driving the truck to various job sites and ensuring the crane is safely secured for travel.
- Following Load Charts: Understanding load capacities and ensuring the crane does not lift beyond its capacity.
- Site Preparation: Assessing the job site for safe crane setup, including stabilizing the truck with outriggers.
- Maintaining Equipment: Performing routine maintenance, such as checking hydraulic fluid levels, cables, and booms, and arranging for repairs when necessary.
- Coordinating with Ground Crew: Communicating with signalers, spotters, or riggers to ensure safe and precise material handling.
- Adhering to Safety Regulations: Following industry regulations and company policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Record-Keeping: Logging hours, maintenance tasks, and any issues encountered with the equipment for compliance and operational records.
- Operating the Crane: Safely maneuvering the crane to lift and transport materials, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Loading and Unloading: Lifting heavy loads, such as construction materials, machinery, or containers, and accurately positioning them as required.
- Pre-Operational Inspections: Conducting daily checks of the crane and truck to ensure mechanical parts are in proper working order.
- To ensure the licenses for truck & trailer are valid at all times.
- Ensure the whole truck & crane are clean, both interior & exterior, same goes for the 6mtr trailer.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Crane Operator Certification is an added advantage
- Valid Code CE drivers license with a PA
- Matric Certificate
