Why this Draughtsperson position exists:

Prepare detailed working diagrams of machinery and mechanical devices, including dimensions, fastening methods, and other engineering information. Interprets flow diagrams and prepares detailed arrangement drawing for a specific project. Draws layouts of necessary equipment and checks. Draws site plans and fits building and equipment into a working sequence. Modifies plans to suit client and engineers changes. Identifies dimensions of steel members in structures.

KEY JOB OUTPUTS :

General Duties

• Draughting of 2D &3D representations of Mechanical/ Structural components, equipment and/or parts etc. drawings.
• Draughting of fabrication/ workshop drawings for required departments.
• Evaluate technical data to determine effects on designs/plans.
• Design electromechanical equipment / systems.
• Analyze design / requirements information for mechanical equipment / systems and/ or structural components.
• Verify mathematical calculations.
• Confer with technical personnel to prepare designs / operational drawings.
• Discuss designs / drawings with clients.
• File and backup designs and drawings on the database, in accordance with the accepted draughting standards and conventions.
• Attend daily production meetings and attend to the meeting actions / requests on time.
• Attend site visits for verification and/ or confirmation on proposed designs on projects/ jobs.
• Ensure for fabrication/ for construction drawings are signed off/ approved, filed and kept in a logical order according to project/ job list.

• Head of Estimation.

Work environment:

• Where Company has operations including but not limited to Workshop, Syncrolift, Mine Plants, Construction Sites etc.

Minimum Qualification & Experience Required :

• D egree or Diploma with 3 to 5 years related experience (C2/C3).
• D egree or Diploma with 5 to 8 years related experience (C3/C4).
• Computer Literate on MS Office.
• Working knowledge on AutoCAD or related draughting software.
• Use knowledge of building materials, engineering practices, and mathematics to complete drawings.

Know-how / Specific knowledge required:

• Material Knowledge.
• Computer Literacy (MS Office).

Other requirements:

• Knowledge of Labour Act.
• Knowledge of Industrial Engineering Regulations.
