PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The incumbent is responsible for, but not limited to, all the administration, invoicing, reporting, and purchasing. Furthermore, the incumbent is responsible to partner and network with farmers/producers and other relevant industry stakeholders to build effective and long-lasting relationships and to ensure Farmers Meat (FM) receives accurate and quality sheep to meet sales demands. Normal line management functions apply with regards to people, finances, reporting and process improvement and optimization.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
- 3-year Degree in Business Administration
- Experience working in an Export rated Abattoir and on meat matrix system will be an added advantage
KEY JOB OUTPUTS:
- Manage the process of all day-to-day administration including Purchase Requisitions, Capital Requisitions, One Time Vendor applications, Vendor applications, Purchasing Orders of goods and services received on operating system for for FM.
- Manage all required administrative and official paperwork for container booking and exports.
- Procure sheep, material and other services in line with agreed forecasts and planning goals by reviewing requirements.
- Manage and control petty cash, authorize purchases of supplies on a weekly or monthly basis.
- Effectively build and maintain good relationship with Farmers by continuous engagements and partnerships.
- Ensure professional and efficient provision of FM relationship with farmers by following up on farmers queries.
- Develop and maintain relationships with farmers, community-based networks and local agencies to inform them of Farmers Meat activities.
- Attend producer meetings and relevant engagements.
- Communicate effectively any innovation from the company to farmers and ensure it is implemented.
- Handle challenges with credibility and promote a professional image of the company.
- Negotiate contracts with farmers within the terms and price range provided.
