The Branch Manager will effectively lead and manage the team to grow and develop the business within the specified area, ensuring compliance with safety standards. The role focuses on expanding and maintaining the customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Sales Team meets sales revenue targets against budget.
  • Support and motivate the team to prioritize customer satisfaction.
  • Engage directly with key customers and assist with addressing customer issues.
  • Provide field coaching to sales staff.
  • Maintain high levels of communication with staff.
  • Review all supply contracts annually and maintain up-to-date contract and sales plans.
  • Adjust prices in response to cost changes and market indices.
  • Negotiate price adjustments with Buyers and Supply Managers.
  • Keep abreast of market trends and competitor profiles.
  • Conduct annual customer satisfaction surveys and recommend improvements.
  • Control calling activities and expenses.
  • Provide on-the-job training for staff.
  • Achieve 95% on-time delivery performance monthly.

Safety, Health, and Environment:

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Legislation:

  • Ensure compliance with Competition Law, Labour Law, property leases, Corporate Law, and Contract Law (Supply and Sales).

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Business Management or Marketing.
  • Valid drivers license.

Experience:

  • Direct sales experience in lifting, rigging, and hoisting products.
  • Customer relationship management and complaint resolution.
  • Staff motivation and successful sales track record.
  • Business management and strategic implementation.
  • Public speaking and presentations.

Knowledge:

  • Principles of motivation and marketing.
  • Steel wire rope, chain, and lifting industry.
  • Safety legislation and product design applications.
  • Familiarity with SAP system is advantageous.

Skills:

  • Numeracy and accuracy in data handling.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Effective sales and negotiation abilities.
