MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To evaluate the Companys geological, mining operations, characterize mineral / ore deposits; maintain and manage geological systems and databases; communicate methodologies and study results.
Key Performance Areas:
- Collect, plot and process data as required to optimise ore body exploration.
 - Provide geological modeling and evaluation services to add value to operations and projects.
 - Provide fit for purpose geological models, which will assist in the preparation of reserve estimates required for statutory reporting.
 - Conduct QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) of inputs and data from a variety of sources.
 - Submit technical reports in order to communicate methodologies and study results.
 - Apply resource modeling methodologies (ore body modeling techniques, classification techniques and risk assessment) and compile models in accordance with best practice.
 - Participate in and provide input into the evaluation and resource management strategies.
 - Conduct MRM database audits.
 - Evaluate the operations of developed and undeveloped uranium/ore resources and/or reserves, including the identification of potential geological hazards.
 - Perform risk/probability analysis and economic analysis of resources and reserves volumes.
 - Perform short-term evaluations for projects and operations.
 - Conduct Planned Task Observations (PTOs), Risk Assessments (RAs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
 - Improve, develop and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), with Best Practice principles.
 
Requirements and experience:
- Grade 12 or current NSSCO with 20 points over 5 subjects.
 - BSc. Honours Degree in Geology or similar qualification in Geology.
 - 3 years experience in geological resource modelling, evaluation and estimation environment.
 - Valid Code B/BE Drivers License
 - 4x4 driving know how an added advantage
