PURPOSE OF POSITION


The Corporate Affairs Manager will be responsible for managing Cleanergy Solutions relationships with relevant key stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, industry associations, and the public. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to ensure compliance with regulations and supporting the overall strategic goals of the group through the O&L Persona.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES


  • Bachelors degree in Public Relations, Communications, Political Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years experience in corporate affairs, public relations, government relations, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of managing relationships with external stakeholders at senior levels.
  • Masters degree will be an advantage.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY


  • Develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including government officials, regulatory agencies, industry associations, media, and the community.
  • Represent the company at industry forums, public meetings, and other external events.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all external inquiries and communications.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with government officials, regulatory bodies, and key stakeholders in the Erongo region to foster collaboration on current and future projects. For government relations outside the Erongo region, work closely with representatives from Ohlthaver & List.
  • Lead the transformation of our Walvis Bay site into an innovative "hydrogen hotspot" through partnerships. This includes collaborating on tourism activities, establishing open offices with suppliers, and creating educational programs at our Hydrogen Academy in partnership with universities.
  • Organize and conduct guided tours of our Walvis Bay site, showcasing our operations and innovations.
  • Assist with media relations in close coordination with headquarters. This involves writing press releases, responding to media inquiries, and ensuring positive and consistent media coverage of the companys activities and successes.
  • Contribute to CSR initiatives and community outreach programs that align with the companys values and enhance its social impact collaboratively with internal and external teams.
  • Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments that could impact the Hydrogen Project development.
  • Advocate on behalf of the Hydrogen Project Development to influence policy and regulatory changes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and manage any issues related to regulatory bodies.
