PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To ensure the effective and efficient operation of the Liquor Store, attend to customer and supplier queries, and maintain the required hygiene and merchandising standards.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12
  • At least 3 years experience in a retail environment.
  • Prior Supervisory experience in a Retail environment will be an advantage.
  • SAP Knowledge will be an added advantage.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for the effective preparation for the stock take and liaison with the Administrative Controller during such stock taking preparations.
  • Assist management with the corrections of identified variances after stock taking.
  • Ensure the achievement of budgeted shrinkage and waste targets by implementing proper control mechanism.
  • Ensure the attainment of monthly budgeted turnover results for the department, though the effective utilization of available resources.
  • Scheduling and planning of staff working hours for the week.
  • Applying and monitoring QDVP4 standards in the Liquor Store.
  • Ensure that all shelves are merchandised on a daily basis.
  • Ensure that shelves and floors are clean and tidy.
  • Ensure that all products have the correct price and product tickets.
  • Responsible for the control of own-use purchases.
  • Ensure continuous knowledge of products.
  • Assist customers with enquiries and queries on stock and application/use of products.
