PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To compile and analyse management accounting reports and assist with facilitating the company in reaching financial and non-financial goals by providing management with accurate and timely information to enable management to make informed decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- A recognized Grade 12 Certificate and a minimum of 4 years finance experience
- Diploma in Cost Accounting / Accounting or Business Management, or equivalent and at least 2 years finance experience.
- Code B Drivers License
- Retail experience will be advantageous.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Prepare daily and monthly financial performance reports.
- Report on all major discrepancies / variances.
- Analysing theP&L and balance sheet accounts to understand the main cost drivers of the business
- Assist in preparation of management accounting packs.
- Carry out SAP functions: reports extraction, exporting of data and variance analysis.
- Ensuringall costs are identified and recorded accurately
- Review inventory process to minimize losses.
- Extract data from SAP daily to compile a management report, daily, weekly format, analyse and submit to Finance Director monthly
- Draw sales reports for budget preparation.
- Assist with compilation of budget packs to be sent to stores and management.
- Managingthe budgets around all costings and provide variance analysis monthly.
- M onitor the process of cost control for entire business, by preparing dashboards for information purposes.
- Report on all major discrepancies (over and under-spending) requiring attention, and their impact on the financial performance of the company.
- Interpret dashboards & advice on major discrepancies requiring attention & their impact on financial performance of the company.
- Create & process PO`s on SAP.
