Pasteurizer Operator Job Job Details | O&L

Purpose of position

To operate the milk, by-product, juice, and cream pasteurizer according to set standards and procedures to effectively and efficiently meet the company production goals and targets in the safest possible manner.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12,

• A minimum of 3 years of working experience in a Production Plant and Machine Operation. (pasteurization and or milk standardization experience)

Preferred/Advantageous

• FMCG-specific experience.

Key Accountabilities

Record Keeping and stock control

• Ensure that all CIP records are up to date and accurate.
• Record Machine (Pressures and Temperatures) and report out-of-specification.
• Keep the production sheet correctly filled in at all times.
• Monitor processing and equipment performance data to improve quality throughput and troubleshooting.
• Monitor quality standards and ensure the correct completion of documents while focusing on reducing waste.
• Do milk stock control daily and reconcile figures with prod. administrators.
• Order stock from procurement daily through the production Administrators.
• Operate all machinery as outlined in the Operating Manuals and/or the ISO-drafted Procedures.
• Accurately document and record all required fields of production.

Pasteurisation and standardisation process

• Administer that the pasteurization process runs smoothly and effectively.
• Assist with the pasteurization of all by-products, juices, and cream.
• Ensurethat product quality is in the specification.

Lead, Communication, and Development

• Play a leading role in the absence of the Team Leader and direct subordinates to ensure that the plant runs effectively and efficiently.
• Communicate issues that could affect production with subordinates and give feedback thereof to management.
• Communicate breakdowns to technicians and issue job cards thereof on time
• Strive for personal advancement and personal development
• Be responsible for the on-the-job training of all new employees
• Attend Invocoms as stipulated by Management
• Assist in the pasteurization of all by-products and juice in the pasteurization of cream should need to be
• Strive to improve operational efficiencies and effectiveness.
• Adhere to Goods manufacturing practices and ISO standards to execute the production plan effectively and efficiently.
