Project Manager (Property/Construction Projects) Job Job Details | O&L

PURPOSE OF POSITION

Project Manager will be accountable for professional project management of existing / future projects, from inception to final handover stages, in all property development / construction related projects.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Diploma / Degree in Construction, Engineering or related Degree.
• Project Management Qualification.
• Five years or more related experience, with proven track record.
• Construction process / industry knowledge.
• Knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental statutory requirements.
• National Building Regulations & Standards and / or any other, statutory requirements i.e. Councils.
• Knowledge of contracts used in construction i.e. JBCC, FIDIC, White Form, etc.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Identify, document and communicate clearly the client brief / requirements for project.
• Effective management of client, consultants, contractors, etc. contracts in the day-to-day managing of the project from concept to final handover stages.
• After concept and feasibility approvals, ensure the clear definition of the scope and design development thereof.
• Assist team with planning and preparation of project estimates / budgets for approval.
• Manage the planning and scheduling of all scope elements of the project and ensuring that the approved / agreed project timelines / milestones are achieved.
• Ensure that all contractors involved on project provide a well-documented HSE plan for the project for review / approval and thereafter ensure its implemented / maintained.
• Ensure an effective communication plan is compiled with project team and it remains intact / adhered to for the duration of the project.
• Identify project risks / opportunities, with mitigation of risks and exploring of opportunities.
• Attend site handover, site meetings and any other meetings that may be required and ensure that the contract management of the project on site is executed correctly and professionally managed from site handover to completion.
