PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:


To provide exceptional guest experience, manage check-in and check-out processes, and perform night audit functions to guarantee accurate financial transactions in accordance with established procedures.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :


  • Min Grade 12 plus Higher Certificate
  • Certificate in Hospitality & Tourism Business Administration or Accounting
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a front desk, night audit, reception or customer service role within the Hospitality Industry.
  • Experience in room revenue control, handling cash, accounting procedures, and general administrative tasks and OTAS.
  • Computer literate (MS Office & Opera Systems)
  • Multilingual in a foreign language (German, French, Portuguese etc) will be an added advantage.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :


  • Constantly monitor and check the quality-of-service delivery towards the guests and make sure the processes are speaking to the brand and the provided quality guidelines.
  • Coordinate room status updates with housekeeping for check-outs, late check-outs, early check-ins, and special requests.
  • Verify reservations, review arrival and departure lists, special guest requirements and accurate processing of information also ensuring all internal communications/notifications are done timeously.
  • Follow up on arrival times for groups and ensure that all relevant departments are informed and prepared.
  • Update the pass-on log and bulletin board daily, ensuring effective communication with other departments.
  • Transfer charges and deposits to master accounts with efficiency and accuracy, ensuring seamless financial operations.
  • Monitor and ensure accurate processing charges, deposits, vouchers, discounts, and promotional programs towards ensuring accurate accounting and reporting.
  • Manage all front office cashier transactions during the night shift and ensure the safety and security of guests and the property during nighttime hours.
