Description
Our client is a dynamic entity specializing in the transport of various commodities with value added services and facilities. They provide optimal Transport and Logistical Solutions throughout sub-Saharan Africa and the rest of Africa.
As a Junior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing financial transactions. Your responsibilities will include:

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and
receivable. -
Preparing financial statements and reports up to Trial Balance for review by senior
management. - Conducting regular reconciliations of bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Preparing and presenting financial reports to the Board of Directors.

Supervising and mentoring junior accounting staff, fostering a high-performance team
environment. - Collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Utilizing accounting software and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, for efficient financial management.
- Adhering to strict ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
Requirements
- Namibian citizen
- Diploma in Accounting/Financial Reporting; a bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is an added advantage.
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Experience Required:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in debtor accounting or related roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity and 2 years of proven experience as an accountant up to Trial Balance financial reporting.
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance
requirements. -
Proven leadership abilities with a track record of building and motivating high-performing
teams.
