Location: Superfarm, Mariental

Position: Operator Feeding

Grade: B1


Purpose of Position

To execute all activities related to feeding operations and maintain good housekeeping practices to ensure an effective and efficient feeding process.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Grade 12
  • Minimum 2-year experience in a similar environment
  • Code B Drivers license.
  • Code C1 or Experience on operating heavy machinery will be added advantage
  • Basic skills required for manual work

Key accountabilities:

  • Assist operators during the feeding process to ensure timely feeding of the herd.
  • Pushing of feed closer to animals daily.
  • Remove foreign objects from feed components.
  • Fill bunkers with feed components before feeding sessions.
  • Report defects on feed components to operators and supervisors.
  • Mill roughage components as required.
  • Open and close silage bunkers and clean removed silage according to procedure.
  • Clean feeding lanes daily.
  • Offload feed components from suppliers trucks and trailers.
  • Wear required PPE at all times, follow procedures, and report safety incidents immediately.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times and report non-compliance.
