Our client is seeking a Upstream Logistics Engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience in logistics within the Oil & Gas industry. Key responsibilities include promoting safety, managing environmental data, developing logistics procedures, reporting KPIs, and managing stock. Candidates should have strong organizational skills, proficiency in MS Office, and knowledge of Namibian customs regulations.

HSE:

  • Promote safety culture among logistics contractors
  • Perform regular safety audit and follow-up findings closure
  • Implement and maintain all environmental data for GHG emissions linked to logistics means (Logistics Base, Aviation & Marine Operations, ROV)
  • Follow-up and monitor waste management on Lderitz logistics base

METHODS:

  • Develop, update and dispatch company's logistics procedures for the affiliate
  • Ensure business tools for the logistics activities are properly deployed and utilized
  • Develop, process and report Logistics KPI for aviation, marine, base and MGO
  • Ensure efficient communication interfaces between all parties involved in the logistics activities.
  • Issue regular activities report.
  • Participate to budget preparations for Logistics with Drilling team
  • Interface with Finance department for end of year financial closure and accruals

STOCK Management :

  • In collaboration with Logistics Superintendent manage the company Stock in Logistics Base.
  • Issue monthly reports on stock movement.
  • Participate to and be accountable for Partners Audit for company stock.

Requirements

Qualifications/Experience required

  • B.A or B.Sc. degree with 2 to 5 years experience in logistics activity in Port Activities/ Marine/ Freight Forwarding, Logistics Base, ideally within an O&G industry
  • Fully conversant with the relevant Namibian legislation and practices for Customs, Import/Export
  • High level of organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to react logically and decisively to constantly changing operational requirements which may have a high cost or safety impact
  • Possess an up-to-date knowledge of all developments in national and international legislation, technical innovations, market developments and performance levels. Keep line management advised and monitor same
  • Proficient in MS-Office, especially Excel and MS-Project

Knowledge in Dangerous Goods

  • Profile: environmental awareness, organization, anticipation skills, good command of written English
