PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical plant and machinery where necessary and ensure that all remain in good working condition.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- N3 certificate
- L3 Qualified Artisan (Millwright).
- Min 3 years Electrical Experience Food Processing factory.
- Computer literacy: MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings.
- Experience in supervisory capacity will be an advantage.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance in utility, facility, and cold store areas.
- Perform electrical/mechanical preventative scheduled maintenance.
- Attend to breakdowns of all electrical/mechanical equipment on Day or Night shift.
- Perform correct fault finding in all processing areas.
- Test equipment before handover to process owners.
- Execute general repair/unplanned duties as required.
- Assist with improvement projects by carrying out new project/equipment installations within expected time frames when assigned.
- Perform administrative duties related to job.
- Spare parts sourcing and control.
- Compliance and adherence to Health, Safety and Quality Standards.
