PURPOSE OF POSITION

This position exists to ensure that we have a deep understanding of our consumers, enabling us to create products and services that meet their evolving needs and aspirations. By leveraging consumer insights, we can innovate and enhance our offerings, thereby making a positive impact on the lives of our consumers and growth of our businesses.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Marketing, Business/Economics or Statistics.
  • 3-5 years of experience in market research, marketing/advertising.
  • Sound Marketing & Advertising Industry experience would be an advantage.
  • A valid code 08 drivers license.
  • Competent in Chase, Microsoft Word, Projects, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communicator and great networking and people skills.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Research Design & Execution

  • Conduct in-house and outsourced research, analyse market trends, and leverage diverse data sources to build a comprehensive picture of the consumer landscape.
  • Utilise survey tools for research purposes and manage the development of statistical tools to streamline data analysis, ensuring efficient and insightful results.

Data Analysis & Insight Mining

  • Develop brand insights by turning raw data into actionable insights, connecting the dots across various research studies and behavioural data to create a clear understanding of consumer needs, motivations, and pain points.
  • Segment target audiences based on demographics, psychographics, and behavioural patterns.
  • Optimise campaigns by continuously evaluating the performance of advertising campaigns and providing recommendations for optimisation of future campaigns.

Market & Consumer Trend Monitoring

  • Champion the consumer voice, ensuring that every decision the business makes is informed by a deep understanding of their needs and desires.
  • Work closely with digital specialists for social media listening to extract valuable insights related to our brands.
  • Serve as the point of contact for market research, gathering and sharing information about competitors, consumer trends, and socio-demographic shifts from internal and external sources.

Innovation & Process Improvement

    • Collaborate with brand strategy and other stakeholders to translate consumer insights into action, informing business decisions, driving brand growth, and improving product performance.

SKILLS

  • A curious and analytical mind with a passion for consumer behaviour.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in conducting and interpreting qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and statistical software.
