Description
We are seeking a diligent and organized CHEP Clerk for our client. If you have a keen eye for detail and experience with inventory management, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Daily Tasks:
- Daily processing of issuing and receiving CHEP Pallets
- Control and processing of cross-border CHEP transactions
- Control, processing, and follow-up of customer CHEP issues
- CHEP requirement forecasting in conjunction with planning and production
- Daily SAP and MyCHEP reconciliations
- Managing CHEP pallets not returned
- Conducting stock takes
- Sorting of CHEP pallets
Responsibilities:

Daily Processing:
- Issue and receive CHEP pallets
- Perform daily stock counts of CHEP pallets in the yard to determine sortability and rejected pallets
- Forecast and order CHEP pallets for production based on production needs
- Schedule return of CHEP pallets

Cross-Border Transactions:
- Manage transfer-in and transfer-out processes in MyCHEP
- Reconcile transactions using the Recon Dashboard
- Collaborate with Warehouse Clerk for invoice processing
- Follow up on and capture transfers to maintain accurate pallet pool counts

Customer CHEP Issues:
- Implement customer pallet procedures in Namibia
- Track and manage pallets left at customer locations
- Follow pallet control note procedures for local deliveries and IMS

Forecasting and Planning:
- Coordinate with planning and production to forecast CHEP requirements
- Order and sort pallets based on weekly forecasts
- Conduct quality spot checks after sorting
- Maintain the CHEP pallet pool efficiently and cost-effectively

Reconciliations and Cycle Counts:
- Perform weekly SAP and MyCHEP reconciliations
- Monitor system and physical stock levels
- Conduct cycle counts three times per week with assistance from team leaders
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Experience with CHEP pallet management or similar inventory management roles
- Proficiency in SAP and MyCHEP systems
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be available to start immediately
