Our client, a leading organization in the bottling industry, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Water Treatment Operator Assistant to join their team for a 4-month contract. This role is essential for maintaining the quality and efficiency of their water treatment processes. The contract period may change based on operational needs. The position needs to be filled urgently - all applicants must be available to start immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the operation and maintenance of water treatment equipment.
  • Conduct regular water quality tests and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Monitor and adjust chemical dosages to maintain water quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of water treatment processes and test results.
  • Support the senior water treatment operators in daily tasks and troubleshooting.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance water treatment processes.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate.
  • Bachelors degree in Sciences, Diploma in Chemistry, or National Vocational Certificate in Water Care or Management.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience as an Operator in a Water Treatment Plant, preferably in the bottling industry.
  • Proven experience in conducting water quality tests.
  • Strong understanding of water treatment processes and chemical dosages.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
  • Resident of Windhoek.
  • Available to start immediately.
