PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To ensure a prompt, polite, efficient, and high standard of food and beverage service, to the total satisfaction of the guest, and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
- Grade 12.
- Minimum 2-year appropriate experience as a waiter in 4* or 5*-star establishment
- Computer Literate
- Knowledge in Micros system.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Responsible for greeting and welcoming quests.
- Responsible for presenting the menu and taking orders from all guests in the restaurant, processing them immediately into the Micros system as per the standards.
- Ensure to have proper knowledge of all menu items, their preparation and presentation as well as any daily special order to confidently answer guests questions when required.
- Ensure that the correct food and beverage items are brought and served to the correct guest promptly and efficiently.
- Responsible for timeously presenting an accurate bill to the guest.
- Responsible for safekeeping of all processed bills and the method of payment received during the shift and cash up at the end of the shift.
