Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our clients culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, strong leadership abilities and a minimum of 5 years of management experience in a similar role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and development.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control.
- Create and execute a 4-course meal during practical cooking assessments.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience as a Sous Chef.
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on contemporary and classic cuisine.
- Proven ability to create and execute a 4-course meal.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Passion for food and a commitment to excellence.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
Working Hours:
- 6-day work week, 45 hours per week.
- Weekends off are provided additionally if operations allow.
