Paratus Telecommunications currently has a vacancy for a Retail Sales Manager.

Roles and responsibilities:

Sales Management:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve shop targets for sales growth and customer retention.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and take corrective actions to ensure targets are met.
  • Ensure that shops adhere to company sales processes and best practices.
  • Optimize sales performance, inventory management, and overall retail operations through data driven decision-making.

Customer Growth and Retention:

  • Develop and execute strategies to grow the customer base and increase subscriber numbers.
  • Implement customer loyalty programs, referral campaigns, and cross-selling techniques to enhance customer retention and drive sales.
  • Track customer growth metrics and adjust strategies to achieve desired outcomes.

Staffing and Training:

  • Oversee staffing appointments, ensuring shops are adequately staffed with qualified personnel.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for shop staff, covering new tools, systems, mobile services, and fixed-line services.
  • Arrange support or provide direct support to shop staff to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Ensure staff awareness and readiness for product activations and launches.

Franchising and Reseller Management:

  • Establish and manage relationships with franchisees and reseller agents.
  • Develop and implement support programs for franchisees and resellers to ensure their success.
  • Monitor the performance of franchise and reseller shops and provide guidance as needed.

The minimum requirements for the position are as follows:

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of retail sales professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Data-driven mindset, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
  • Adaptability and flexibility, with the willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proactive and innovative approach, with the ability to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • In-depth knowledge of the telecommunications industry, particularly in the mobile operator space.
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in retail sales management, preferably within the
    telecommunications industry.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, customer retention strategies, and system optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage staffing, training, and development programs.
  • Experience in managing franchising and reseller operations is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information effectively.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Valid drivers license.
