Job Description
A PLANT FITTER PERFORMS THE FOLLOWING KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Carries out repairs and service maintenance work on equipment and machinery by:
- Installing plant equipment to comply with DBMN and original equipment manufacturers specifications and standards.
- Carrying out running inspections, checking performance of mining equipment and structures, diagnosing/analyzing faults and determining corrective action to resolve problems.
- Performing scheduled and planned maintenance on treatment plant equipment e.g. Treatment pumps, vibrating and static screens, feeders, winches, conveyor systems and belts, magnetic separators, cyclones etc.
- Provides accurate information and feedback in accordance with laid down planned maintenance standards, i.e. units numbers, work performed, spares used, and causes of failure.
- Reports on all technical matters and deviations to the Supervisor.
- Attends to abnormalities and updates technical work logs with detailed quality information.
- Carries out work processes, and monitors progress to improve efficiency and minimize delays.

Qualifications
DO YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS?
- Grade 12 with pass marks in English, Maths and Science; and
- Qualified Artisan with a Trade Certificate (Fitter and Turner) from a recognized institution
- Three (3) years post qualification experience as an Artisan
- Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage
