Our client, a prominent player in the FMCG, manufacturing, and bottling industry, is seeking dedicated and skilled Syrup Room Team Leaders to join their team. This role is critical for ensuring the smooth operation and quality control of their syrup manufacturing process.

Job Description: As a Syrup Room Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing the syrup room operations, ensuring the preparation and supply of syrup batches to production. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Raising requisitions for raw materials.
  • Planning and coordinating the loading of sugar for syrup manufacture.
  • Overseeing the preparation of simple and final syrup batches.
  • Ensuring the correct supply of final syrup to production.
  • Performing CIP (Clean-in-Place) on all tanks, piping, and syrup room equipment.
  • Conducting all standard quality tests.
  • Performing autonomous maintenance.
  • Maintaining health and safety standards.
  • Managing and developing the syrup room team while maintaining discipline.
  • Adhering to TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.


  • Grade 12 with higher-level Mathematics.
  • Tertiary qualification in Food Science or related field.
  • Experience in the bottling industry preferred.
  • Strong numerical skills and good understanding of hygiene requirements.
  • Availability for shift work and weekend work.
  • Available to start immediately.
