PURPOSE OF POSITION

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing our clients social media strateg ies to enhance their online presence and improve marketing and sales efforts. The role requires a proactive individual with a passion, as well as deep understanding, of social media , social media trends and content creation.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Tertiary qualification in Digital Marketing or relevant qualification.
  • Proven 2-3 work experience as a Social Media Coordinator, Social Media Marketer, or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience in content management.
  • Proven track record of results-driven social media experience.
  • Hubspot Social Media Marketing certifications will be an added advantage.
  • Experience working with Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn ads.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Social Media Strategy:

    • Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies to align with client and brand business goals.
    • Conduct research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences.
    • Design and implement social media campaigns that engage, inform, and inspire online audiences .

Content Creation and Management:

    • Develop, create, and pitch content strategies and plans to clients.
    • Drive the approval and execution process of all content plans.
    • Manage and execute content plans according to final approvals received.
    • Understand and follow best practices for distributing content across different media types, including images, videos, written content, and audio.
    • Collaborate with key departments to establish and manage key consumer audiences.
    • Comprehensive understanding of content SEO and optimis ation.

Community Engagement:

    • Own and proactively drive social media community management.
    • Respond to social media inquiries and comments in a timely manner.
    • Liaise with clients and brand owners to develop optimal responses in a timeous manner.
    • Develop and expand community and/or influence outreach efforts.
    • Foster a positive community experience across all platforms.

Analytics and Reporting:

    • Analy se social media campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising social media, content marketing and social advertising campaigns.
    • Prepare monthly reports on social media performance and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to determine the effectiveness of current campaigns.
    • Use tools like Sprout Social, Meta Reports, and social media insights to monitor, evaluate, and improve the company's social media performance.

Brand Advocacy:

    • Maintain brand consistency and tonality across all social media platforms.
    • Identify threats and opportunities in user-generated content surrounding the company.
    • Report notable threats to appropriate management.

Collaboration and Coordination:

    • Work with brand managers, designers, copywriters, and the digital team ensure content is informative, appealing, and executed properly.
    • Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong social influence network.
