  • Received claim/loss forms and notification.
  • Appoint assessor / loss adjustor.
  • Communicate progress on claim files with assessors, team members and insureds.
  • Complete internal claims process documentation and estimation on internal claims management system.
  • Notify large losses to insurers
  • Update claims progress and estimates according to an online diary system.
  • Prepare claims payments and submit to finance.
  • Submit claim payments and proof of payments.
  • Negotiate with suppliers/contractors regarding replacements and/or repairs.
  • Obtain salvages and update systems.
  • Submit files for recovery where required.
  • Respond to claims queries.



  • Grade 12.
  • At least 8 years 'within the Short-Term insurance with min of 5 years experience in Claims.
