Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct roll call on the client-prescribed platform each shift.
- Check manual timesheets daily and coordinate with Admin.
- Assist in keeping employee files current and upload to APSUAT.
- Manage operational queries and communicate with the Operational Manager.
- Distribute PPE, ensure forms are signed, and enforce compliance.
- Implement a leave planning register to minimize leave post-peak season.
- Investigate and manage AODs, ensure employee signatures within 72 hours.
- Promote and manage training completions and AOD signings for cost recovery.
- Report and record incidents within 48 hours and notify relevant managers.
- Maintain operational visibility, using the office only for admin tasks.
- Engage in casual meetings and conversations with staff.
- Suggest best practices to enhance operations.
- Implement disciplinary measures and scan warnings into a shared folder.
- Act as the first responder and maintain effective communication.
- Monitor subordinates strictly and ensure performance targets are met.
- Ensure clean work areas and maintain daily hygiene standards.
- Lead daily and weekly team discussions on performance and improvements.
- Ensure standby staff are in full PPE and maintain sign-out records.
Requirements
Experience and Skills Required:
- Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role, preferably in logistics or warehousing.
- Grade 12; further education or certification in management is a plus.
- Valid drivers licence with PDP is required.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with APSUAT or similar platforms.
- Ability to handle and resolve queries and incidents efficiently.
- Knowledge of PPE standards and safety regulations.
- Competence in training and development of staff.
- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to enforce disciplinary measures and maintain employee compliance
