Description
We are recruiting on behalf of a prominent player in the FMCG industry, specializing in dry food products. We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Warehouse Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day depot operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of dry food products.
- Lead and motivate warehouse staff to achieve performance targets, including productivity, accuracy, and safety goals.
- Plan and organize manpower and resources to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock counts and reconciliations.
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
- Oversee maintenance of depot facilities and equipment, coordinating repairs and servicing as required.
- Collaborate with logistics partners to coordinate inbound and outbound transportation activities.
- Monitor product quality and compliance with relevant regulations, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings initiatives.
- Prepare regular reports on depot performance, including key metrics such as inventory levels, order fulfilment rates, and operational efficiency.
- Liaise with other departments, such as sales and procurement, to coordinate activities and resolve issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the FMCG or warehouse industry, with specific experience in dry food products preferred.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and coach a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Sound knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, and health and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and MS Office applications.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
