We are recruiting on behalf of a valued client who is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Creditors Clerk for a temporary 3-month fixed-term position. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in accounting within a corporate and retail environment, who can work independently and as part of a team.

Job Description: Our client is looking for a Creditors Clerk to assist with Creditors Control functions in their Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing invoices and payments, handling petty cash, and managing creditor queries, among other duties. This role requires someone who can meet deadlines, perform under pressure, and manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Duties:
    • Assist with Creditors Control functions in the Finance team, including:
      • Processing of invoices and payments on Sage300.
      • Monthly & weekly creditors reconciliations and remittance advices.
      • Processing weekly petty cash.
      • Handling queries from creditors.
      • Preparing requests for payments.
      • Efficiently handle incoming and outgoing mail.

Requirements

  • Must be a Namibian Citizen.
  • Must have Grade 12 with accounting as one of the subjects.
  • Must have 5 years of relevant work experience in a corporate and retail environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines, perform under pressure, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and MS Teams.
  • Must have knowledge and experience operating on Sage300 and Pastel.
  • Must reside in Windhoek Namibia.
  • Must be available to start immediately.
