Drive data analytics and business intelligence through efficient transactional dashboards, employing advanced data mining for informed decision-making and quantitative analytics. Develop and execute strategic initiatives to optimize data-driven processes, ensuring regulatory compliance. Critical Deliverables /Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Analyze large volumes of transactional data to identify unusual patterns or behaviors.
  • Work closely with Finance, Marketing and Product office to extract and provide the relevant data for pricing, product profitability analyses and marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with different stakeholders to enhance and optimize the banks digital channels and transaction processing.
  • Develop and implement an information management program to enhance data governance, quality and accessibility.
  • Establish foundational elements of data analytics, including data modeling and data architecture, to optimize analytical processes and insights.
  • Utilize data analytics tools, software and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python) for efficient analysis.
  • Organize initiatives to design and implement scalable data analytics solutions accommodating the bank's growth trajectory.
  • Perform comprehensive data analysis to ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and drive compliance initiatives through quantitative analytics methodologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies aligned with the bank's growth objectives, ensuring seamless scalability of data analytics practices.
  • Validate the accuracy and completeness of transactional data, collaborating with data management teams to address any discrepancies.
  • Implement measures to maintain data integrity and ensure the reliability of analysis results.
  • Create and maintain a transaction monitoring systems to investigate alerts generated and assessing the risk level associated with each alert.
  • Stay updated on relevant regulatory changes and incorporate them into the transaction monitoring processes.
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports on transaction monitoring activities to management and regulatory authorities.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments, including compliance, risk management and legal, to coordinate efforts in mitigating risks and promoting best practices.


Knowledge and Skills Required of the Job Holder:

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, engineering, finance, Actuarial Science or a related field.
  • At least 5 years Proven experience in data analytics, preferably in a financial institution. A focus on business intelligence will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with various data analytics tools, systems and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret complex data sets and identify patterns.
  • Experience or skills in project management to effectively handle multiple tasks, prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
  • Familiarity with database systems and data visualization tools.
  • Ability to respond effectively to critical incidents, including participating in investigations and taking appropriate actions based on analysis findings.
  • Understanding of broader financial industry compliance requirements.
  • Effective communication skills to convey analysis results and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail to ensure accurate and thorough analysis of transactional data.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to adapt to changing regulatory landscapes and evolving digital payments trends.
