PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To control the overall operation of the inventory department by correctly ordering of stock and resolving inventory discrepancies in order to maintain agreed stock levels.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• National Senior Level Certificate.
• 4 years experience in the food retail industry, with up to 2 years in an inventory environment.
• SAP experience will be an advantage.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Plan and execute store stock counts, confirming deliveries and interdepartmental transfers.
• Resolve inventory discrepancies and report out-of-stock items to management.
• Print and compare daily price updates, updating shelf prices and verifying system accuracy.
• Ensure sufficient stock for promotions, maintain agreed stock levels, and liaise with suppliers for product availability.
• Oversee accurate stock take processes, investigate variance reports, and ensure resource availability.
• Ensure hygiene standards and health/safety regulations are met, maintaining equipment and cleanliness.
