Description

Our client is a fast-growing mining exploration company based in Windhoek, seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join their team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and organizational support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the office or reception area
  • Acting as the main point of contact for internal personnel and external parties
  • Greeting clients and customers, and handling inquiries in person or by phone
  • Managing correspondence and communications, including phone calls, post, and emails
  • Bookkeeping, record-keeping, and data entry into financial, personnel, and legal databases
  • Maintaining and organizing company records
  • Scheduling meetings and appointments, and arranging refreshments and corporate catering
  • Supervising other administrative personnel
  • Overseeing office inventory and ensuring an adequate supply of consumables, such as stationery
  • Operating and troubleshooting office equipment, including printers and computers
  • Organizing executive itineraries, including travel and corporate events
  • Working independently without direct supervision

Requirements

Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in computing, including word processing, spreadsheets and presentations
  • General bookkeeping and accounting knowledge
  • Competence in using industry-specific software and administrative procedures
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Knowledge of leading filing systems and file clerking skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Flexibility when priorities change

Qualifications:

  • A bachelors degree in business administration or business management is an advantage
  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role, preferably at a senior level
  • Proficiency in office management
  • Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, work environments, and time zones
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office, and Outlook
  • Must own a vehicle
