Description
Our client is a fast-growing mining exploration company based in Windhoek, seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join their team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and organizational support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the office or reception area
- Acting as the main point of contact for internal personnel and external parties
- Greeting clients and customers, and handling inquiries in person or by phone
- Managing correspondence and communications, including phone calls, post, and emails
- Bookkeeping, record-keeping, and data entry into financial, personnel, and legal databases
- Maintaining and organizing company records
- Scheduling meetings and appointments, and arranging refreshments and corporate catering
- Supervising other administrative personnel
- Overseeing office inventory and ensuring an adequate supply of consumables, such as stationery
- Operating and troubleshooting office equipment, including printers and computers
- Organizing executive itineraries, including travel and corporate events
- Working independently without direct supervision
Requirements
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in computing, including word processing, spreadsheets and presentations
- General bookkeeping and accounting knowledge
- Competence in using industry-specific software and administrative procedures
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong numeracy skills
- Knowledge of leading filing systems and file clerking skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility when priorities change
Qualifications:
- A bachelors degree in business administration or business management is an advantage
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role, preferably at a senior level
- Proficiency in office management
- Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, work environments, and time zones
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office, and Outlook
- Must own a vehicle
