Service And Maintenance Electrical Technician

We are hiring on behalf of a client in the renewable energy solar industry. Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Service and Maintenance Technician to join their team. If you are passionate about renewable energy and have a strong background in electrical systems, this could be the perfect opportunity for you

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct service and maintenance trips to remote sites across the country.
• Install and service both grid-tied and off-grid solar PV systems.
• Perform site inspections and manage subsequent projects.
• Liaise with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
• Assist in on-site design of electrical layouts, including AC, DC, P&ID single-line diagrams, and structural & civil components.

Skills & Attributes Required:

• Trade Certificate in electrical or electric millwright (N4 certification in electrician required).
• Good knowledge of IT networks.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Professional communication skills and excellent record-keeping.

Requirements

• Namibian citizenship.
• Valid drivers license (C1 would be an advantage).
• Proficiency in English and Afrikaans (German is an advantage).
• Good medical record.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends.
