Ict Cloud Engineer

Paratus Telecommunications currently has a vacancy for a ICT Cloud Engineer in Windhoek.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Operations, Maintenance, Monitoring, Scaling, Troubleshooting, Integration and Automation of the following core areas:
  • VMWare Cloud
  • Veeam Backup Solutions
• Experienced to work with the various operators, specialists and engineers.
• Ability to work and have experience in a wide variety of fields, which includes the following but are not limited to:
  • Cloud VMware Environment
  • Modular Cloud-based systems
  • Veeam Backup Solutions
  • IP Networks (Routers and Switches)
  • Security (Firewalls)
  • Network Administration and Maintenance Systems
  • Linux/Unix Servers (Debian and Redhat)
• Continually improve in the area of responsibility according to best-practice guidelines (3GPP and ISO 27001).
• Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on internal and external client needs.
• Extract and formulate necessary performance reports for management on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Implementing autonomy and visibility to first-line technician in the various systems

The minimum requirements and skills for the position are as follows:

• Degree in an Architecture, Technology, Engineering Related Field
• Any other well-known industry-related certification
• Three Years working as Technician or Engineer
• Experience in IP/Networks
• Experience in Databases
• Experience in interworking of IT Cloud Systems.
• Valid Drivers License.
