Artisan Maintenance Job

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To maintain fluent operations in the factory by maintaining and repairing all electrical, and mechanical equipment in the packaging plant, support in minimizing downtime, ensuring product quality, and upholding safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

• Grade 12
• Recognized National Trade Certificate Level 3 (Electrician or Millwright Certificate)
• 23-years experience in a similar position.

PREFERRED ADVANTAGEOUS:

• FMCG specific experience

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Ensure weekly job card closures as provided by SAP must be checked by Artisan and signed by the line manager.
• Report on unforeseen incidents/breakdowns on job cards SAP
• Complete Tetra checklist on a machine on an hourly basis.
• Maintain line efficiencies on Namibia Dairies engineering Server.
• Complete a 5Y form after every breakdown on any machinery.
• Update all manuals on Tetrapak and filmatic machines.
• Ensure that all equipment/parts are available when performing a scheduled service on packaging machinery.
• Required to work a standby shift once a month for a week.
• Work closely with Local Suppliers regarding ordering spare parts.
• Perform on-the-job training for production operators.
• Improve on any machinery (work smarter/ think out of the box)
• Required to know and educate oneself on all machines and request training if needed
