Control and coordinate the Financial Processes and reporting required for the allocated energy companies. This includes the monitoring of debtors, creditors and cash flow in order to support the O&L Nexentury group as and required by the Group Finance department. This also enables the company management to execute business decisions based on the monthly management accounts and BLR reports.


  • B. Accounting (Honours) degree / CTA, Qualified Chartered Accountant with completed articles and 6 years relevant experience of which 1 year on managerial level.
  • Detailed knowledge of different specialist areas within the function. Advanced MS Excel knowledge, IFRS, Taxation, Companies Act and, SAP knowledge. Professional finance related knowledge required, gained through tertiary education and relevant experience.


  • Monitor technical compliance in terms of IFRS, taxation and Companies advise for correction, where applicable.
  • Investigate technical queries in respect of IFRS, Companies Act or Tax Act.
  • Prepare half year and year end Reporting packs as per group standards.
  • Prepare and adjust foreign entity reporting pack per IFRS.
  • Completion of monthly BLR reports
  • Preparation /review of the monthly management accounts.
  • Review accuracy of monthly journals and general ledger account reconciliations
  • Monitor cash flow and update cashflow reports
  • Assist in the process of developing ,implementing & maintaining internal control systems
  • Present monthly EBIT results to financial director.
  • Oversee external audit function and preparation/review of year-end files for audit purposes
  • Preparation/ review of annual budgets
  • Ensure tax compliance
  • Review/prepare normal tax and deferred tax calculations.
  • Provide support in project controlling & project management.
  • Assist the financial director with drafting information required by external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the functions and work delivery of all reporting staff.
  • Monitor, manage and review performance of reporting staff


  • Computer literate (MS Office & Systems).
  • Excellent verbal & written communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Planning, organizing, & excellent numerical skills.
  • Assertive, analytical, proactive and maintain confidentiality.
  • Team player with strong administrative skills, accuracy & attention to detail.
  • SAP would be an advantage.
  • Caseware or Draftworx experience would be an advantage.
  • Fluent in German would be an advantage.
