Laboratory Assistants (Mining)

Description

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Laboratory Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analysis by following established procedures and protocols.
• Assist laboratory staff in conducting experiments, tests, and procedures as needed.
• Clean and maintain laboratory equipment, glassware, and work areas to ensure a safe and organized environment.
• Perform routine laboratory tasks such as measuring and mixing reagents, labeling samples, and recording data.
• Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels, receiving shipments, and restocking supplies.
• Enter data accurately into laboratory databases or electronic record-keeping systems.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and maintain efficient workflow in the laboratory.
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance job skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Desired minimum educational experience needed to be considered for the position

• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Experience in mining laboratory environment will be advantage.
• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
