Underground Drill Operators

Description

We are currently seeking experienced and safety-conscious Underground Drill Jumbo Operators to join our team on the mine in Kombat .

Responsibilities

• Operate drill jumbo equipment to drill blast holes according to engineering specifications and safety standards.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections of drill jumbo equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify any maintenance or repair needs.
• Set up and position drill jumbo equipment in underground mining headings or development areas.
• Load blast holes with explosives and ensure proper charging procedures are followed.
• Monitor drilling operations and adjust equipment settings as needed to achieve desired drilling parameters.
• Maintain accurate records of drilling activities, including hole depths, patterns, and quantities drilled.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Communicate effectively with other members of the mining team to coordinate drilling activities and ensure smooth workflow.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on drill jumbo equipment to keep it in good working condition.
• Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and emergency response drills as required.

Requirements

• The machines we use are Epiroc 282 (twin boom), but operators with experience on any drill jumbo will be considered .
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 years of experience as an Underground Drill Jumbo Operator in the mining industry.
• Valid driver's license and underground mining certification (if required).
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining drill jumbo equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Strong understanding of underground mining methods, practices, and safety regulations.
