PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To achieve agreed sales, distribution, market share, promotions and performance objective by effective management of the Hartlief Key Accounts business. Incumbent to proactively negotiate, co-ordinate, plan and implement sales brand activities according to the Hartlief Sales Strategy in order to optimally serve our customers. Furthermore, the incumbent needs to identify new opportunities for the profitable growth of Hartlief Key Account business.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

  • 3-year Degree/Diploma in Sales/Marketing with 8 years experience in FMCG Sales, of which at least 3 years should have been on Management Level
  • Knowledge and know-how of Key Account sales and rebate calculations and negotiations is required
  • Knowledge of cold chain in FMCG environment will be an advantage

KEY JOB OUTPUTS:

  • Develop annual business plans for Key Accounts and each major retailer in conjunction with the Marketing department and Manager National Sales.
  • Develop, agree, implement, and evaluate sales/marketing activities with key outlets (linked to Breakthrough Sales strategy).
  • Negotiate long term trading agreements with allocated key accounts to drive profitable growth of Hartlief brands.
  • Manage the achievement of all Key Account retailers volume, recommended selling prices and promotion implementation and distribution objectives.
  • Maintain operational standards within allocated Key Account teams to ensure it is in line with the agreed Company criteria.
  • Develop sales budget to deliver on sales strategy.
  • Monitor report and recommend action to contain competitive action.
  • People Management.
  • Conduct regular trade visits to gain market insights.
  • Build sound relationships with key stakeholders in the key accounts.
