Incumbent will perform a wide variety of clerical and receptionist duties as well as to ensure effective flow of communication between internal and external clients, by answering and diverting telephone call as well as taking messages, being the first point of contact, welcoming clients and guest in an appropriate manner, and thus upholding the good name of the company.


Grade 12 Certificate, office Administration certificate would be an advantage and must be fluent in both English and Afrikaans. (other languages will be to the advantage).


  • Receive, collect, sort, distribute and prepare Support Office mail, messages and courier deliveries.
  • Operate the switchboard effectively and efficiently and take messages and relay them to the respective person(s).
  • Continuously keep the reception area cleaned and tidy.
  • Answer to all office cleanliness queries.
  • Assist the Line Managers and LT, SLT with administrative functions, and/ or any other duties if and when needed.
  • Assist other Managers with Administrative duties when possible.
  • Assist with handling and solving queries receive from all branches and direct them to the relevant person.
  • Welcome all Pick n Pay Support Office visitors entering the office and assist them to get into contact with the respective staff.
  • Execute and ordering of support office stationery.
  • Arrange deliveries of flowers for staff during periods of sickness and/or death.
  • Coordinate the birthday messages and cards for all staff.
  • Keep all the staff informed about general issues.
  • Arrange all bookings for meetings.
  • Arrange all social events.
