Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their dynamic buying department as a TEMPORARY Buyer Assistant. This role will primarily focus on providing essential administrative support to the procurement team, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

Job Description: As a Buyer Assistant in our client's buying department, you will be responsible for providing crucial administrative support to the procurement team. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting buyers with administrative tasks such as filing purchase orders, updating supplier records, and maintaining procurement documents.
  • Entering procurement-related data into our systems accurately and efficiently, ensuring data integrity and completeness.
  • Coordinating communication between buyers and suppliers, including answering inquiries and resolving administrative issues.
  • Assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other procurement-related documentation as needed.
  • Supporting the procurement team with general administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, organizing files, and managing correspondence.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams within the organization to ensure seamless coordination of procurement activities.

Requirements

  • Degree or relevant certification in procurement.
  • Approximately 1 year of previous experience in an administrative support role, preferably within a procurement or purchasing department.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with data entry and database management.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Must be willing to start immediately and commit to a temporary role.
