Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Refrigeration Technician to join their refurbishment department and contribute to their continued success in delivering exceptional service to their clients.
Job Description: As a Refrigeration Technician in the refurbishment department, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and refurbishing refrigeration systems and equipment. Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Performing routine maintenance and refurbishment on refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting refrigeration system issues, including identifying faulty components and recommending necessary repairs or refurbishments.
- Repairing or refurbishing defective parts, such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, and controls, to restore system functionality.
- Conducting regular inspections of refrigeration equipment to detect and address potential problems before they escalate.
- Installing refurbished refrigeration systems and equipment according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Adhering to safety protocols and regulations while working with refrigeration systems and handling refrigerants.
- Providing excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients, addressing their concerns, and ensuring their satisfaction with the refurbished equipment.
Requirements
- Qualified in refrigeration and air-conditioning.
- Valid drivers license.
- Computer literate.
- Proficient in English.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a refrigeration technician.
It will help to have:
- Experience in R290 and CO2 refrigerants.
- Field service experience in refrigeration.
- Proficiency in African languages.
- Experience in teaching job attachments or mentoring junior technicians.
- Previous experience in managing a team.
