PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To lead the dispatch team by ensuring that orders are dispatched and loaded out of the Hartlief factory, to receive products from suppliers/customers and control back- to stock from the trade.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
- A Diploma in Transport & Logistics Management
- 3-5 years experience in operations/FMCG environment
- Drivers License advantage
KEY JOB OUTPUTS:
- Oversee that invoices are obtained from the Invoicing staff and loads are allocated per route/size of load as per order sheets and invoices.
- Perform regular spot checks on orders that have been prepared for delivery.
- Manage crate and pallet movement to ensure that the numbers of crates that leave the factory are returned.
- Identify ways in which to reduce stock variances.
- Identify, trace and manage orders in a way that quality problems can be picked up and reported to customers.
- Conduct stock counts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to ensure that the inventory in the factory matches what is on the System.
- Perform operational responsibility of factory administration management while adhering to budget targets.
- Ensure the correct dispatch order with the relevant documentation in place.
- Coordinate trucks for weekly deliveries to depots and customers.
- Coordinate pickup of crates and deliveries to customers through HL delivery vehicle.
- Supervise all order operations and must make sure that all captured orders are complete.
- Ensure that all forklifts and pallets jacks are in good working condition; this includes conducting daily checks on these items.
- Implement, manage and improve all processes and procedures for the Demand Chain Management operations.
