Job Description
KEY COMPETENCIES OF THE LOGISTICS OFFICER POSITION ARE:
- Coordinates arriving passengers and visitors, for further transfers to their final destination e.g. Oranjemund Town, vessels, Windhoek and Cape Town and assist with relevant required permits.
- Plans crew change process and helicopter movements considering crew change fixed wing flights, arrival times and all other additional requirements bearing in mind other activities taking place at Log Base.
- Anticipates helicopter movement delays and liaise with the Helicopter Operator for extra/ late flights without compromising safety.
- Manages unpredictable circumstances in an independent and unsupervised manner whilst adhering to the company policies and procedures.
- Runs the daily errands, maintenance, and coordinate accommodation bookings, meal tickets and transport to and from town, etc. in a cost-effective manner.
- Controls and maintains the use of Logistics vehicles and enforce adherence to DBMN and Anglo-American safety standards, policies and procedures.
- Keeps proper records and logbooks of the people's daily, weekly and monthly movements to and from the vessels.

Qualifications
DO YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS?
- Certificate/Diploma in Logistics and Travel Management
- Grade 12 pass and a valid Driver's license
- Medical Fitness for a Public Driving Permit is essential
- 3 years experience in an administrative environment preferably experience in a travelenvironment.
